Bahareh Mirmoghtadaei (Tonbak)
Bahareh Moghtadaei was born in Tehran, Iran 1982. At the young age of four she started learning Tonbak with Master Morteza Aayan and later with Masters: Amir Naser Eftetah, Mehrdad Arabi, and Mohammad Esmaili. Apart from Tombak, Bahareh also plays the Tar and Piano. She learned Tar with masters: Hossein Alizadeh, Fariborz Azizi, Houshang Zarif and Reza Yaghmayi. She graduated from Sooreh University in Tehran with a BA in Music. Bahareh has toured many cities in Europe and in the United State. Bahareh is moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2005, and is pursuing her education in Music Therapy. She is a member of Ali J. Racy’s ensemble in UCLA.
