Nastaran Kimiavi (Tar)
Nastaran was born in 1981 in Tehran. She started learning Tar at the age of 10 and later went to the Tehran Music school (Honarestane Musighi) where she completed the intermediate level with masters: Delnavazi, Hemmati and Zarif. In 2003, She graduated from the Tehran Azad Art and Architecture University with a BA in Music.
At this stage she learned tar with Masters: Talai, Pirniakan and Alizadeh. Apart from giving tar recitals and playing in the Rozaneh Group she has been teaching music (Orff-Schulwerk) to children since 2001 and she got her Postgraduate Certificate in Music and Dance education – Orff-Schulwerk from the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria in 2007.
