Rozaneh (2001) | |
This album starts in Dastgah Isfahan (a mode in the Iranian musical repertoire). as the work develops, compositions and improvisations in Dastgah Shur and Nava take us back to Isfahan. In this circular journey, symbolic of the seeker, return to his Beloved, we hear in the words of two great mystics, Molavi (known in Europe as Rumi) and Fakhredin Aragui, the thirteenth-century Sufi poet, the expression of mystical experiences, ranging from the nostalgia of separation to the joy and ecstasy of union with the beloved. |
